We annually invest $1 million in hundreds of causes in our community, and our team members put this commitment into practice by collectively volunteering more than 15,000 hours each year. But we don’t stop there. We know access to financial education is essential to a flourishing community, which is why we created the Bankers Trust Education Center in 2017.

Josh Klipping is a relationship banker at the Windsor Heights branch at Bankers Trust. He joined Bankers Trust as a consumer services representative in 2014 and moved to his current position in 2017. In this role, Josh assists customers with an array of banking needs, from opening accounts to applying for loans. Josh enjoys working with customers and strives to understand their needs. Outside of the bank, Josh volunteers with Kids Fest and serves as a youth pastor at his church. In his free time, Josh enjoys playing ping pong and basketball with the kids in his youth group and watching sports with friends. He is passionate about social justice issues and enjoys reading authors such as Toni Morrison and Ta-Nehisi Coates.

Kevin Tiernan serves as VP, Treasury Management/Global Banking Sales Manager at Bankers Trust. He has nearly 15 years of banking experience in treasury management and retail banking. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University, Kevin went on to earn his MBA from the University of Iowa. He also completed the Graduate School of Banking program at University of Wisconsin. Prior to joining Bankers Trust in 2011, Kevin worked at Wells Fargo for four years. Kevin has been recognized for his involvement in the community and career achievements. Most recently, he was recognized in the Business Record’s Forty Under Forty in 2015. He was also recognized as an Up and Coming Banker in 2014 by Community Bankers of Iowa, and he received the Governor’s Volunteer award in 2012. Apart from his position with Bankers Trust, Kevin serves on the board of directors of Balance Autism – an organization that provides care and innovative therapy for those living with autism. In his free time, Kevin likes to travel, attend live music concerts and festivals, and ride his bike on Iowa’s beautiful trails.

Joe DeJong joined Bankers Trust as Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer in December 2008. Prior to joining Bankers Trust, Joe spent four years in the Business Banking Division of Wells Fargo Bank. Beginning in 2013, Joe began serving as the Managing Director of ESOP Finance, working with middle market companies in the structuring and financing of ESOP plans throughout the Midwest. Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa with a minor in real estate finance and an Executive Leadership Certificate from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Joe is a current member of the ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) of which he is a speaker on the topic of ESOP Finance. Currently, Joe is a member of the Board of Directors for the Orchard Place Foundation and also volunteers as a Youth Soccer Coach for Vision Soccer Academy. Outside the bank, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys and attending University of Northern Iowa and Iowa Hawkeye athletic events.

Lorie Davis is VP, Senior Commercial Relationship Manager at Bankers Trust. Lorie joined Bankers Trust in 2019, bringing 40 years of banking experience with her, and has been a dedicated member of the Commercial Real Estate team ever since. Lorie is a graduate of the University of Iowa where she earned her bachelor’s degree and a graduate of the National School of Real Estate Finance in Madison, WI. Lorie is an active volunteer in her community. She serves on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa and on the Board of Directors of Black Hawk Economic Development. In her free time, she enjoys golfing and sailing.

Chad Solberg joined Bankers Trust Company in May 2013 bringing 15 years of banking and finance experience. He currently serves as VP, Business Banking Manager overseeing a team of dedicated business bankers. Prior to joining Bankers Trust, he most recently spent nine years with Wells Fargo as a lender in business banking. Chad was also an examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for three years. Chad attended Iowa State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Family Resource Management and Consumer Sciences. He volunteers his time on non-profit boards which has included Arthritis Foundation of Iowa and is currently in his second three-year term with American Red Cross of Central Iowa. Chad is a native of Iowa and enjoys golf, basketball, boating, snowboarding and Iowa State athletics. Chad resides in Waukee and has two daughters. He is very involved with their activities and sports.

Presently, customers have collectively invested more than $90 million through Jason. Their assets include stocks, corporate bonds, municipal bonds, government bonds, mutual funds, ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds), REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) and annuities.

Jenny Carter is vice president, associate managing director of Retirement Plan Services in the Wealth Management Division at Bankers Trust, where she provides oversight for qualified and nonqualified retirement plan administration. She joined the Bank in 2010 and served in Supervisor and Manager roles before being promoted to her current position in 2015. Jenny holds a Retirement Plan Associate (RPA) designation through Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI). Her background includes: implementation, administration, and technical compliance of defined contribution plans. Prior to joining Bankers Trust, Jenny worked in positions at Diversified Investment Advisors, Marsh Advantage America and Principal Financial Group. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in business from William Penn University before starting in retirement services. Jenny is also a contributor of the Retirement and Investing category of the Education Center. Within her category, she shares her expertise on retirement planning. Simplifying complex topics for readers has provided her a unique outlook to what she does at the bank Jenny is active in the community as a volunteer at her children’s school and with Meals from the Heartland, and she previously served as a Girl Scouts troop leader. Christi McWilliams is the Bank Security Officer at Bankers Trust and has more than 15 years of experience in the banking industry. She began her career at Bankers Trust in the Customer Service department, followed by several years as a Relationship Banker, Electronic Banking Specialist and Deposit Operations before joining the Financial Intelligence team in 2015. Her responsibilities include all aspects of physical security enterprise-wide, robbery prevention, and fraud monitoring. Edin is a Certified Bank Security Manager (CBSM), Certified BSA-AML Officer, holds a CAMS certification (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), and was designated as the Bank’s OFAC Officer in the summer of 2017. Edin is a graduate of Grand View University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems and Business Administration. In his spare time, Edin enjoys watching football (Go Hawks!, Go Eagles!) and fishing during the summer time.
