Jason Egge takes pride in the longevity of his client relationships. In fact, he has worked with several of his clients for more than a decade.

“It takes years to build trust in someone you go to for financial advice,” Jason said. ”In many cases, I’m working with multiple generations of families. When you work with someone for over 10 years, you develop a deep friendship and sense of trust, which I find to be very rewarding.”

Jason has been in the financial services industry for 21 years, and at Bankers Trust for 15. When it comes to his clients, Jason is dedicated to them for the long haul.

“I feel a very deep sense of obligation and responsibility when customers come to me to take care of their money,” Jason said. “It’s easy to talk about having the best interests of your customers in mind, but it’s more difficult to prove it. As an organization, we prove it to our clients on a daily basis.”

Jason also provides for his customers through the Bankers Trust Education Center where he is an expert contributor to the Retirement and Investing category.

“I believe that everyone should have a sense of their financial options,” he said. “It’s important as a community bank to advance financial literacy in the areas we serve. When people are educated about the options they have, they make better decisions.”

At the bank, Jason assists customers who are looking for guidance on how to manage retirement assets, turn their wealth into an income stream so they can enjoy their retirement. He invests their money based on experience, risk tolerance, income level and how they want to spend their money in retirement.

“In order to provide good advice to someone, you have to understand their overall financial picture and retirement income needs,” Jason said. “The priority for my team is meeting our customers’ needs. We want to make sure they understand what they own, the fees involved and that those fees are transparent.”

With a 15-year tenure, Jason is proud to say he works at Bankers Trust because of the customer-focused mindset and the reputation throughout the community.

“I have pride in the culture we have of taking care of the customer,” he said. “When I am out in the community and tell people I work for Bankers Trust, I always hear great things from our customers about our service. That is a real tribute our employees’ dedication to our customers.”

Jason Egge joined Bankers Trust in 2004 and has more than 19 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked seven years at The Principal Financial Group in Des Moines. Jason partners with his clients to develop retirement strategies based on thoughtful consideration of their individual needs. He follows through with them, encouraging these customers to meet regularly in a comfortable environment to review each unique portfolio, ensuring that their investments meet their changing life needs. Presently, customers have collectively invested more than $90 million through Jason. Their assets include stocks, corporate bonds, municipal bonds, government bonds, mutual funds, ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds), REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) and annuities.

In 2010, Jason’s commitment to integrity was recognized by his peers when they voted to give him the Award of Excellence, which recognizes client service and industry integrity. Jason graduated from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he earned degrees in Economics and History. He maintains his FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65, as well as his Iowa Producer’s Life license.
