Four Budgeting Tools to Try

(Video Transcript)

Budgeting – you know you should do it, but you don’t know where to start. Luckily, there are many ideas to help.

  1. Start a spreadsheet. Write out your monthly expenses and income using Excel or Google Sheets.
  2. Check out your bank’s online finance manager. Many banks offer an online tool that automatically categorizes your purchases so you can easily see the breakdown of your spending.
  3. Use online calculators. Type in the amounts you earn, spend and want to save and let the calculator do the work for you. Find 15 free budgeting and savings calculators at Education.BankersTrust.com.
  4. And if you want to speak to someone in person, visit your banker. Sometimes it’s easier to just talk to another person. So, stop by your local branch. We’re ready to help.
